Evolutions could only be achieved if the Pokémon held its respective megapiedra, which occupied an element space during battle. The presence of the mega evolution skill has become non-existent in the following titles, although Pokémon Go still has this favorite mechanics of fans.

Pidgeot won Mega's ability to evolve in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Pokémon, and now he makes his debut in Pokémon Go so that coaches challenged him in incursions. From August 26 at 10 a.m. M. and until September 1 at 10 a.m. M., players can challenge Mega Pidgeot and acquire their mega energy for a limited time.
