Battlefield 2042: Alpha launches 12th August - Login & Release

So slowly it becomes reality: Battlefield 2042 comes in October and starts a first test with "normal" players on the 12th of August. It is a closed alpha phase called EA "Technical Playtest". Meinmmo shows you the details and how you have a chance to join in there.

Why go? The new shooter Battlefield 2042 appears on October 22 and starts a few test phases in advance to test the most important game elements under high pressure. This starts with an alpha, the Technical Playtest. From the 12th to the 16th of August, selected players can turn their first rounds in Battlefield 2042 - but then they should not talk about the alpha, the whole thing is subject to a concilient declaration.

Meanwhile, the first play testers were selected, but the start of the alpha is still a few days. Meinmmo shows you the most important information about the Alpha Phase and where you can register.

Alpha from Battlefield 2042 - registration, start and information

How can I sign up? You can only sign up indirectly for the Technical Playtest from BF2042. Developer EA just wants to make a few thousand players on the servers and looks for participants about their "PlayTester" program. You can register here:

  • Registration as a playter from EA (via EA.VOM)

You have to deposit some info about you as part of the registration. EA wants to assess, for example, how much you play or what kind of games you likes. For example, the developers want to make sure that their playtests are experienced by different player types, which may then bring new views into development.

BATTLEFIELD 1 in 4K - Multiplayer Gameplay Upscaled Players on the PS4 or the Xbox One are not invited. The Alpha is only running on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and the PC.

What are the chances of an invitation? Generally, your chances are rather bad. The developers speak of a limiting number of testers and it should be heard after only a few thousand players on the servers. Rumors speak of the fact that especially veterans of the Battlefield series are in question for the test - but this does not apply as safe.

If you have registered, you should regularly examine your e-mails - the first invitations are already out. EA, however, writes on the playtest website that even until one day before the test could still be sent in invitations.

How does the test run off? The Alpha starts on the 12th of August and expires until the 16th of August. The US page "VideogamSchronicle" page has learned that the playtest expires in a total of 6 sessions - 5 sessions with 3 hours of playing time each and a 9 hour session (via VideoGameschronicle). That would be 24 hours playing time over 4 days.

In addition, the complete Technical Playtest is under a "NDA". This is a kind of secrecy agreement and player of the Alpha may not publish info about the test. You can not even talk about it. Even the e-mail invitation to the test was not allowed to be published:

What can be seen in the playtest? From the lactified e-mail, it is clear that the test is to be about 3 points:

  • Opinions for gameplay loop
  • Performance of BF2042
  • Technical stability

Which content is available during Alpha is currently not saying. The gameplay columns of Battlefield 2042 form 3 different modes - all-out warfare, hazard and portal. Maybe in the different sessions of different content is ready for testing. What is considered safe: The CrossSplay function should already be activated during the Alpha.

Next Chance Open Beta - Start in September

Has not worked with the participation in the Alpha, you can participate in the Open Beta in September. You do not have to buy Battlefield 2042 either to join. According to the developer, the Open Beta is really "open" and everyone interested player can bring his weapon into the game. Even players on PS4 and Xbox can snuffle.

With a deleted blog post of EA, the following dates for the Open Beta are currently suspected:

  • 4 . September at 10:00 am German time - beta start for pre-order
  • 6 . September at 10:00 am German time - beta start without pre-order
  • The end of the beta should be German time on September 11th (via battlefield-insize.de)

However, the data has not been confirmed by the developers yet. And since the Playtest was relocated from the end of July to the 12th of August, it may be that the beta can shift somewhat. It is certainly not. If there are new information - the Alpha, Beta or Battlefield 2042 in general - you will find you on Meinmmo. Pokémon GO: With this trick you can convert to Iscalar in Calamanero
